Côte d'Ivoire, Africa's ninth largest economy, third largest in French-speaking Africa, and second largest in West Africa, has been performing remarkably well for over a decade. However, this rosy picture contrasts sharply with the Ivorian economy's heavy dependence on foreign companies. There is a strong presence of non-Ivorian companies. However, it is true that attitudes are gradually changing and Ivorians are becoming more entrepreneurial. An in-depth analysis of the three sectors of activity in Côte d'Ivoire confirms the significant contribution of the informal sector. On every street corner, we can easily find a tailor's workshop, a hair salon, a shoe repair shop, a restaurant, a sheet metal company, a tutor, a placement agency for young girls, a photography agency, etc. These are various fields practiced by nationals or non-nationals, full-time or part-time, independently or in the form of an organized company. The current situation is that these physical or legal entities all face a common challenge: efficiently finding customers. Those that can do so create pages on social media and seek to form a community. This is already a step forward, but it remains uncertain because potential customers would have to follow the page. On the other hand, there are people who, being in need of these services, spend hours or even days searching for the right provider. Very often, they proceed by recommendation or vague searches on social media. In the latter case, they are embarking on an uncertain journey, as there is no certification to indicate the qualifications of the service provider they have found. Go-Go is an app designed and promoted by Ivorians. Its aim is to connect service providers and customers in a healthy, secure environment that is reassuring for all parties.
